Submission Rules Change and Addition
Hey all,Just a quick note to let you know that the Submission Rules have been amended. Previously, WoS required all submissions to have a minimum of 1,000 words per chapter - well, this has been lowered now to 750.
The maximum word limit of 16,000 words per chapter remains unchanged.
UPDATE 6/9/08: An addition has been made to the Submission Rules. It reads as follows:
Authors who are not 'auto-validated' (if your stories are not posted right away, you aren't) may only submit TWO (2) chapters or stories at a time. As soon as those two are validated, you may submit a maximum of two more. If more than two chapters/stories are submitted, they will be deleted and the author will be asked to submit two at a time. The validation process is time consuming. Please respect those volunteers who are doing the job. Make sure you post the final version and not a pre-beta or draft version.
Stories currently in the submission queue as of right now are not bound by this new addition, but all future submissions are.

Captcha Turned On
Hello all,Just a quick note to let you know that we've recently turned on the captcha security feature that's built into the eFiction script. So, if you're trying to create a new account or trying to review a story anonymously, in other words when you're not logged in, you'll have to enter the security code displayed in the graphic.
This was done to hopefully stop a problem that's recently cropped up with a few stories receiving spam reviews and at least one robot-created username pointing to a website meant to sell a drug. The staff obviously doesn't wish for such things to happen, so, we will do everything in our power to prevent it.
